Happy Kitty

Freddie
Dear Crossroads Animal Shelter,   My name is Gretchen and I am 12 years old.  Almost 5 years ago, I adopted my first pet (a cat named Fred) from Crossroads.  I was so excited that I had my very own cat and I took care of him and played with him.  Today he has two friends: Kiwi, a long-furred black female cat, and Stewart, a short-furred light orange tabby tom.  Fred gets along with them very well.

My Mom has taught me to give back to others and Fred is a great pal.  I wanted to thank you so much so my Mom and I dropped our loose change into the donation boxes.  Whenever I see a box for Crossroads, or another Animal Shelter or Humane Society, I drop in some change.  But now that I am a little older I can make my own money.  I used to go to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School ...I've talked to the principal and gave her my idea for SAOTA. Save All Of The Animals.

On June 23, my cousins and I set up a cookie stand outside of my grandma's house.  My cousin insisted on keeping her share for herself, but I sold more than her.  I know $13.75 is not a lot, but for giving me my pal Fred, I hope you can find some use for it.  I'm always trying to make the world a better place!  And I would gladly give you more (money, pet beds, pet food).

Thank you so much for giving me my pal Freddie.

Zoey
Dear Crossroads Animal Shelter,  Thought you'd like to see how happy our girl Zoey is in her new home :-)
Her new favorite toy...
Cuddle time with big sister...
Sleepy time with blankey and younger big sister...
Learning to sit for a treat with fury sister Abby...

Zoey is settling in nicely... She's coming out of her shell and realizing she needs to win the affections of our older dog, Abby, and that she didn't just enter our home as the "alpha" female. She's starting to try to play with our older dog. We are also having our younger daughters hand feed her, one kibble at a time at meal times, so that she's slowly realizing they are nice to be with too.

We all just LOVE the way she loves to sit in our laps and cuddle! We have never had a dog that just loves to sit in your lap so much. It's exactly what we were hoping for. She also is so much fun to watch play when she just wakes up from a nap! She has gotten some new toys and came already knowing how to fetch! How fun for all of us to play :-)
Thought you'd like to see some cute photos of her.  Thanks again, Amy

Snoopy
Hi Crossroads Shelter! Just thought you might enjoy seeing this video scrapbook of Charlie. (used to be Snoopy) We babysat some friend's kids and their 1 year old Beagle while they were in Mexico. Made a video scrapbook of the dogs playing. Charlie is the BEST dog! He loves everybody and every dog that he meets at the dog park! He is adorable and quite hilarious! We loooove him and wanted to say thank you again for taking care of him as a lost little puppy.

 Maya
Hello,

We adopted Maya the boxer from your organization and just wanted to update you on her. She's a WONDERFUL dog!! She is really well behaved and has a great personality. She walks well on her leash, rarely barks and is great with my toddler son. She made herself at home right away, taking over the couch and bed! I'm so glad I found her. She's a sweetheart. I think she's lost a little weight already. I havent weighed her, but she has more definition between her belly and chest.

I attached a photo of Maya in her new home. Feel free to use it on your website :)

Everest
Cuda (formerly Everest) was adopted in March 2007.
He is the King of the household, as seen by this pic. He has been a
blessing to our family and is loved very much.
TimberThank you for keeping Timber happy and healthy this last year until we found him. Just in the last couple of days he has brightened our home. Here are some pics of him doing laundry, cooking, and napping. More to follow!

Thanks,

Nicole and Nathan TimberTimber
