Attention Volunteers!
Crossroads Animal Shelter is a 501(c)3, non-profit, animal shelter located in Buffalo, Minnesota. We rely on volunteers to help bring the best care possible to every animal that comes through our doors. We are always in need of more people to join our team of volunteers and we thank you for considering us. If you are interested in volunteering or fostering with us, please complete the volunteer application to get started.
Our in-shelter volunteer roles are currently full. We will open applications again when there are available shifts. We currently are not accepting applications for the following roles.
- dog walkers
- cat cuddlers
Currently, we are actively looking for volunteers for the following roles.
- Writers for posts and blogs
- Animal transport – Saturdays 1-2x monthly using shelter van to meet transport pick up and return animals to Crossroads. Must be able to lift 50# and have dog-handling ability.
- Event support and planning.

Crossroads Animal Shelter Volunteer Application
Thank you for wanting to volunteer with Crossroads Animal Shelter. This is the first step in becoming an approved volunteer. Once we receive this application from you, we will be sending you information to complete some online training to familiarize yourself with our facility, our policies, and other important information. Once you have an understanding of the materials, we will schedule a time for you to shadow with a more experienced volunteer and have all of your questions answered. After which, you will become an approved volunteer for Crossroads Animal Shelter. Everybody and the animals at Crossroads thank you for your desire to help!
